Skanda Purana — Brahma Khanda, Shloka 49

द्रौणिर्दृष्ट्वा तु तत्कर्म भासेनैवं कृतं निशि । करिष्याम्यहमप्येवं शत्रूणां निधनं निशि

drauṇirdṛṣṭvā tu tatkarma bhāsenaivaṃ kṛtaṃ niśi | kariṣyāmyahamapyevaṃ śatrūṇāṃ nidhanaṃ niśi

Namun putera Drona, melihat perbuatan yang dilakukan pada waktu malam oleh burung itu, berfikir: "Aku juga akan membinasakan musuh-musuhku pada waktu malam dengan cara yang sama."
