अर्थिनः परितुष्यंति यावता कांचनादिना । ततोपि द्विगुणं तेभ्यो दापयामास धर्मजः
arthinaḥ parituṣyaṃti yāvatā kāṃcanādinā | tatopi dviguṇaṃ tebhyo dāpayāmāsa dharmajaḥ
Sebanyak mana pun para pemohon dapat berpuas hati dengan emas dan seumpamanya, putera Dharma memastikan mereka menerima pemberian dua kali ganda daripada itu.
Sūta (contextual deduction)
Scene: A supplicant indicates a modest request; Yudhiṣṭhira gestures to double the gold, attendants pouring more coins/jewels into a cloth, recipients astonished and grateful.
Dharma is not mere adequacy but abundance—giving beyond what is asked purifies wealth and magnifies merit.
Lakṣmītīrtha, whose māhātmya is shown through the flourishing of righteous generosity.
A dāna-principle: give more than what would ordinarily satisfy (dviguṇa-dāna).
