Skanda Purana — Brahma Khanda, Shloka 61

न च दर्शयते मन्दस्तदा रामस्य सागरः । प्रयतेनापि रामेण यथार्हमपि पूजितः

na ca darśayate mandastadā rāmasya sāgaraḥ | prayatenāpi rāmeṇa yathārhamapi pūjitaḥ

Namun samudra yang tidak menyahut itu tidak juga menampakkan diri kepada Rāma—walaupun Rāma telah memujanya dengan segenap usaha, menurut tata yang wajar dan patut.
