केशागृहीत्वा हस्तेन धृष्टद्युम्नोऽच्छिनद्युधि । मावधीरिति पार्थाद्याः प्रोचुः सर्वे च सैनिकाः । सर्वैर्निवार्यमाणोपि त्वत्तातं पार्श्वतोऽवधीत्

keśāgṛhītvā hastena dhṛṣṭadyumno'cchinadyudhi | māvadhīriti pārthādyāḥ procuḥ sarve ca sainikāḥ | sarvairnivāryamāṇopi tvattātaṃ pārśvato'vadhīt

Mencengkam rambutnya dengan tangan, Dhṛṣṭadyumna menebasnya di tengah pertempuran. 'Jangan bunuh!' demikian jerit Pārtha dan yang lain, bersama semua askar. Walaupun dilarang oleh semua orang, dia tetap membunuh ayahmu dari sisi.
