Transliteration

vyāsa uvāca | śṛṇu pārtha mahāpuṇyāṃ kathāṃ skaṃdapurāṇajām | sthāṇunoktāṃ ca skaṃdāya dharmāraṇyodbhavāṃ śubhām

Translation

Vyāsa berkata: Dengarlah, wahai Pārtha, kisah yang amat besar pahalanya ini, yang lahir daripada Skanda Purāṇa. Inilah riwayat bertuah yang muncul di Dharmāraṇya, yang dituturkan oleh Sthāṇu (Śiva) kepada Skanda.
