भार्या मूलं गृहस्थस्य भार्या मूलं सुखस्य च । भार्या धर्मफलायैव भार्या संतानवृद्धये

bhāryā mūlaṃ gṛhasthasya bhāryā mūlaṃ sukhasya ca | bhāryā dharmaphalāyaiva bhāryā saṃtānavṛddhaye

Isteri ialah akar kehidupan seorang grhastha, dan juga akar kebahagiaan. Isteri ada demi berbuahnya dharma, dan demi pertambahan zuriat.
