Dengan meninggalkan pergaulan yang hina dan rendah, hendaklah seseorang membawa keturunannya menuju kemuliaan. Hendaklah ia mendekati hanya yang terbaik dalam kalangan yang utama, dan menjauhi yang terjatuh hina. Seorang brāhmaṇa mencapai keunggulan melalui adab yang benar; namun kerana pelanggaran dan kemerosotan, ia jatuh ke keadaan rendah.
