अशुभा वा शुभा वापि न जानीमो वयं किल । संवदंते ततो लोकाः परस्परमिदं वचः
aśubhā vā śubhā vāpi na jānīmo vayaṃ kila | saṃvadaṃte tato lokāḥ parasparamidaṃ vacaḥ
Lalu orang ramai berkata sesama sendiri, “Sama ada ia sial atau bertuah—sesungguhnya kami tidak mengetahuinya,” demikianlah mereka berbual antara satu sama lain.
