प्रतिदिनं तदा देवा भोजयंति स्म वाडवान् । एवं वर्षसहस्रं वै कृत्वा यज्ञं तदामराः
pratidinaṃ tadā devā bhojayaṃti sma vāḍavān | evaṃ varṣasahasraṃ vai kṛtvā yajñaṃ tadāmarāḥ
Kemudian para dewa memberi makan kaum vāḍava setiap hari. Demikianlah para yang abadi melaksanakan yajña itu selama genap seribu tahun.
Purāṇic narrator (contextual)
Tirtha: Dharmāraṇya
Type: kshetra
Listener: nṛpa (king)
Scene: A supernatural daily rite: devas appear in luminous forms, distributing food to vāḍavas; a sacrificial arena persists through ages, with an unbroken fire and cyclical offerings—time compressed into a thousand-year continuity.
Dharma is sustained through steady, long-term sacrificial discipline—daily service over vast spans of time.
Dharmāraṇya’s sanctity is reinforced as the arena where devas themselves maintain yajña and service.
Continuous yajña supported by daily feeding (bhojana) as an integral component of the rite.
