Skanda Purana — Brahma Khanda, Shloka 4
तथेत्युक्त्वा महाधेनुः क्षीरेणोल्लेखयद्धराम् । हुंकारात्तस्य निष्क्रांताः शिखासूत्रधरा नराः
tathetyuktvā mahādhenuḥ kṣīreṇollekhayaddharām | huṃkārāttasya niṣkrāṃtāḥ śikhāsūtradharā narāḥ
Sambil berkata, “Demikianlah,” lembu agung itu melakar tanda di bumi dengan susu. Daripada lenguhannya muncul lelaki-lelaki yang bersanggul (śikhā) dan memakai benang suci (yajñopavīta).
