इत्यपोंजलिनादाय गुरुं शप्तुं समुद्यतः । पतित्वा पादयोस्तस्य मदयन्ती न्यवारयत्

ityapoṃjalinādāya guruṃ śaptuṃ samudyataḥ | patitvā pādayostasya madayantī nyavārayat

Demikian katanya, lalu ditadahnya air suci di kedua tapak tangan dan bangkit hendak menyumpah Sang Guru; namun Madayantī tersungkur di kaki paduka Guru dan menahannya.
