Mārkaṇḍeya (deduced from immediate chapter context in this passage)
Tirtha: Revā-tīrtha (contextual)
Type: ghat
Listener: Rājā (explicitly addressed)
Scene: A kingly donor (addressed ‘rājan’) offers a cow with her calf, draped in cloth, with gold placed as part of the gift; above, a luminous Śambhu-loka vision—Śiva’s realm—appears as the promised destination.
Pure intention joined to generous charity is praised as a direct cause for attaining Śiva’s realm.
The promised fruit is stated within the Revā Khaṇḍa’s tīrtha framework, emphasizing Śiva’s grace connected to that sacred geography.
Go-dāna: gifting a cow with her calf, with cloth and gold, performed with sattva (purity).
