Transliteration

umārudrāṅgasambhūtā yena caiṣā mahānadī | lokānprāpayate svargaṃ tena puṇyatvamāgatā

Translation

Kerana sungai agung ini lahir daripada tubuh Umā dan Rudra, dan kerana ia menghantarkan makhluk-makhluk ke syurga, maka ia pun mencapai martabat pahala tertinggi serta kesucian.
