Narrator (within Revā Khaṇḍa frame)
Tirtha: Nārada-pratiṣṭhita Śūlin-tīrtha (unnamed)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Bhārata (addressed as ‘O Bhārata’)
Scene: A devotee offers a tawny cow (kapilā) to a brāhmaṇa at the tīrtha, hands joined after the gift; the spoken benediction for the Pitṛs is central, with ritual witnesses and river backdrop.
Gifts offered with clear intention for the ancestors become a means for their upliftment and peace.
The chapter’s Revā Khaṇḍa tīrtha, where pitṛ-dāna is said to bear heightened fruit.
Kapilā go-dāna to a Brāhmaṇa, explicitly dedicated to the Pitṛs with a spoken saṅkalpa.
