मणिनाग उवाच । अत्र स्थाने महादेव स्थीयतामंशभागतः । सहस्रांशेन भागेन स्थीयतां नर्मदाजले । उपकाराय लोकानां मम नाम्नैव शङ्कर
maṇināga uvāca | atra sthāne mahādeva sthīyatāmaṃśabhāgataḥ | sahasrāṃśena bhāgena sthīyatāṃ narmadājale | upakārāya lokānāṃ mama nāmnaiva śaṅkara
Maṇināga berkata: “Wahai Mahādeva, bersemayamlah di tempat ini sebagai penzahiran sebahagian. Wahai Śaṅkara, tinggallah—walau hanya seper seribu bahagian—di dalam air Narmadā, demi kebajikan sekalian alam, dengan menyandang namaku.”
