Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 26
सर्पा ऊचुः । यथा त्वं जननी चाम्ब सर्वेषां भुवि पूजिता । तथा सापि विशेषेण वञ्चितव्या न मातरः
sarpā ūcuḥ | yathā tvaṃ jananī cāmba sarveṣāṃ bhuvi pūjitā | tathā sāpi viśeṣeṇa vañcitavyā na mātaraḥ
Ular-ular berkata: “Wahai Ibu—sebagaimana engkau dimuliakan dan dipuja oleh semua di bumi, demikian juga dia seorang ibu. Ibu-ibu tidak wajar diperdaya, lebih-lebih lagi.”
