Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 43

मात्रा स्वस्रा दुहित्रा वा राजानं च तथा प्रभुम् । गुरुं चैवादितः कृत्वा शयानं न प्रबोधयेत्

mātrā svasrā duhitrā vā rājānaṃ ca tathā prabhum | guruṃ caivāditaḥ kṛtvā śayānaṃ na prabodhayet

Walaupun oleh ibu, saudara perempuan atau anak perempuan—demikian juga terhadap raja atau tuan—jangan membangunkan ketika baginda sedang berbaring. Setelah terlebih dahulu menzahirkan hormat bakti kepada guru, jangan pula mengejutkannya ketika beliau sedang berbaring.
