Śrī Mārkaṇḍeya (narrating to Yudhiṣṭhira)
Tirtha: Narmadā/Revā
Type: kshetra
Listener: Yudhiṣṭhira
Scene: Narmadā, praised by brāhmaṇas, rises in a radiant, visible divine form from the river—water turning luminous—while the devotees witness in reverent astonishment.
Sincere praise (stuti) can culminate in divine darśana; the tirtha is not merely a place but a living presence.
Narmadā (Revā) as the foremost river-tīrtha, capable of direct manifestation.
Devotional stuti is highlighted as the cause for divine manifestation.
