एवं वर्णा यथात्वेन मूढाहङ्कारमोहिताः । पतन्ति नरके घोरे यथान्धो गिरिगह्वरे

evaṃ varṇā yathātvena mūḍhāhaṅkāramohitāḥ | patanti narake ghore yathāndho girigahvare

Demikianlah manusia dari golongan varṇa, terpesona oleh keangkuhan yang dungu dan berpaut pada semata-mata darjat, jatuh ke neraka yang menggerunkan—seperti orang buta terjun ke jurang gunung.
