दह्यन्ते विविधास्तत्र वाप्यः कूपाश्च भारत । दृश्यन्तेऽनलदग्धानि पुरोद्यानानि दीर्घिकाः । अम्लानैः पङ्कजैश्छन्ना विस्तीर्णावसुयोजनाः
dahyante vividhāstatra vāpyaḥ kūpāśca bhārata | dṛśyante'naladagdhāni purodyānāni dīrghikāḥ | amlānaiḥ paṅkajaiśchannā vistīrṇāvasuyojanāḥ
Wahai Bhārata, pelbagai kolam dan telaga di sana turut terbakar. Taman diraja dan takungan air yang panjang kelihatan hangus oleh api—diselubungi teratai yang tidak layu, terbentang hingga banyak yojana.
