Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 31

रुधिरं वर्षते देवो मिश्रितं कर्करैर्बहु । अग्निकुण्डेषु विप्राणां हुतः सम्यग्घुताशनः

rudhiraṃ varṣate devo miśritaṃ karkarairbahu | agnikuṇḍeṣu viprāṇāṃ hutaḥ samyagghutāśanaḥ

Dewa menurunkan hujan darah, pekat bercampur banyak serpihan kasar. Dan di lubang api para Brāhmaṇa, Api korban yang dipanggil dengan benar menerima persembahan menurut tatacara, lalu menyala gemilang.
