अद्यापि भयमेवाहं पश्यन्नस्मि विभो पुरः । तेन स्मृतोऽपि भवता नाव्रजं भवदन्तिके
adyāpi bhayamevāhaṃ paśyannasmi vibho puraḥ | tena smṛto'pi bhavatā nāvrajaṃ bhavadantike
Wahai Yang Maha Berkuasa, hingga kini pun di hadapanku hanya tampak ketakutan. Maka, walaupun engkau mengingati lalu memanggilku, aku tetap tidak mendekati sisi-Mu.
Haṃsa
Tirtha: Revā (Narmadā) tīrtha milieu
Type: river
Listener: Vibhu (addressed lordly figure in context, likely Dhātā/Brahmā)
Scene: The haṃsa stands at a distance, eyes wide, as if seeing fear itself in front; Brahmā (or the addressed ‘Vibhu’) is near, yet the bird hesitates to approach despite being summoned.
Fear clouds duty and discernment; turning toward the divine with honesty is the remedy.
