Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 42

शापानुग्रहको देवोऽक्षिपत्तोये यथा गृहे । ततो विषादमगमद्दृष्ट्वा तान्नर्मदाजले

śāpānugrahako devo'kṣipattoye yathā gṛhe | tato viṣādamagamaddṛṣṭvā tānnarmadājale

Dewa itu—yang menghukum dan juga mengurniai rahmat—telah mencampakkan mereka ke dalam air, seolah-olah mencampak sesuatu ke dalam rumah. Kemudian, melihat mereka di dalam air suci Narmadā, ia pun diliputi dukacita.
