दृष्टं ललाटं देशोऽसौ ललाट इति संज्ञितः । स देशः श्रीपतेः क्षेत्रपुण्यं देवर्षिसेवितम्
dṛṣṭaṃ lalāṭaṃ deśo'sau lalāṭa iti saṃjñitaḥ | sa deśaḥ śrīpateḥ kṣetrapuṇyaṃ devarṣisevitam
Wilayah itu kelihatan seperti “dahi” (lalāṭa), maka ia dikenali sebagai Lalāṭa. Tanah itu ialah kṣetra suci yang penuh pahala milik Śrīpati, yang diziarahi serta disembah oleh para dewa dan dewaṛṣi.
