Transliteration

dāhāya nāmalo vahnernāpaḥ kledāya cāmbhasaḥ | taddravyameva taddravyavikārāya na vai yataḥ

Translation

Api bukanlah (semata-mata kerana namanya) untuk membakar, dan air bukanlah untuk membasahkan; kerana zat itu sendiri bukanlah sebab hakiki perubahan pada zat.
