Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 49

जज्ञेऽथ तस्येश्वरयोगमूर्तेः प्रध्यायमानस्य सुरेन्द्रसङ्घः । वेदाश्च यज्ञाश्च तथैव वर्णास्तथा हि सर्वौषधयो रसाश्च

jajñe'tha tasyeśvarayogamūrteḥ pradhyāyamānasya surendrasaṅghaḥ | vedāśca yajñāśca tathaiva varṇāstathā hi sarvauṣadhayo rasāśca

Kemudian, tatkala Tuhan—yang hakikat diri-Nya ialah kedaulatan Yoga—tenggelam dalam samādhi yang mendalam, terzahirlah himpunan para dewa. Weda, yajña, susunan varṇa, serta segala herba dan sari-rasanya pun lahir.
