samāgatau tadā dṛṣṭau madhye jvalitapāvakau | puṇyapāpāni jantūnāṃ śrutismṛtyarthapāragau

Kemudian terlihat dua sosok telah tiba, berdiri di tengah api yang menyala-nyala. Mereka menilai pahala dan dosa makhluk, serta arif dalam makna Śruti dan Smṛti.
