महिषासुरे महाकाये पुरा देवभयंकरे । शूलिन्या शूलभिन्नाङ्गे कृते दानवसत्तमे

mahiṣāsure mahākāye purā devabhayaṃkare | śūlinyā śūlabhinnāṅge kṛte dānavasattame

Pada zaman dahulu, Mahiṣāsura yang bertubuh besar—menggerunkan para dewa—tatkala ditikam oleh Dewi pemegang trisula, anggota tubuhnya terkoyak oleh trisula, lalu dānava yang terunggul itu pun ditumbangkan.
