Type: kshetra
Scene: A contemplative teacher on the riverbank instructs a weary, aged seeker; the mantra’s glow fades around the unprepared, while Rudra’s distant form remains unattained—visualizing conditional efficacy.
Mantra practice is linked with adhikāra (fitness): purity and preparedness condition spiritual attainment and efficacy.
Not explicit in this verse; it continues within the Revā/Narmadā-centered discourse of the chapter.
A caution regarding the Lāṅgala-mantra: it requires proper fitness/purity and does not ‘stand’ (remain effective) under disqualifying conditions.
