Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Significance: General teaching: wealth used in dharmic ways matures as puṇya, which in time supports the rise of liberating knowledge (jñāna) under Śiva’s grace.
Role: teaching
It teaches that righteous engagement with worldly resources, when aligned with dharma, becomes a support for inner purification; as merit matures over time, it culminates in jñāna that leads toward liberation under Shiva’s grace.
In Shaiva practice, wealth and daily life are offered into worship—supporting puja, charity, and dharmic duties—so that devotion to Saguna Shiva (Linga worship) purifies karma and prepares the mind for higher knowledge.
Use wealth for dharmic acts connected to Shiva—such as Linga-puja, annadāna, and maintaining regular japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya)—so that punya accumulates and ripens into steadiness and insight.
