स्कन्दसरः (Skandasara) — तीर्थवर्णनम् / Description of the Skandasara Sacred Lake
अतो गमिष्ये ऽहमवाप्तकामः समस्तमेवास्तु शिवं सदा नः । सूते कृताशिषि गते मुनयः सुवृत्ता यागे च पर्यवसिते महति प्रयोगे
ato gamiṣye 'hamavāptakāmaḥ samastamevāstu śivaṃ sadā naḥ | sūte kṛtāśiṣi gate munayaḥ suvṛttā yāge ca paryavasite mahati prayoge
“Maka aku akan berangkat, kerana maksudku telah tercapai. Semoga segala-galanya menjadi auspisius—semoga berkat Śiva sentiasa menaungi kita.” Setelah Sūta mengucapkan restu demikian lalu pergi, dan setelah upacara korban agung itu selesai dengan sempurna, para muni yang berakhlak mulia pun bersurai.

It marks the completion of a sacred transmission: having fulfilled the purpose of the discourse and the yajña, the blessing invoked is not merely “good luck” but enduring śivam—Śiva’s auspicious grace that supports dharma and liberation.
By praying “śivaṃ sadā naḥ,” the sages seek the continual presence of Śiva’s beneficence—typical of Saguna devotion where Śiva is approached as the bestower of anugraha (grace), the core fruit of worship including Liṅga-upāsanā.
The verse emphasizes proper completion (paryavasāna) of yajña and receiving blessings; as a takeaway, conclude worship with śānti and śiva-saṅkalpa—mentally dedicating the rite to Śiva and sustaining remembrance through japa of the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”).
