भक्तिः पराः शिवे साम्बे सानुगे सपरिच्छिदे । यद्यदिष्टतमं चान्यत्तत्तदाप्नोत्यसंशयम्
bhaktiḥ parāḥ śive sāmbe sānuge saparicchide | yadyadiṣṭatamaṃ cānyattattadāpnotyasaṃśayam
Bhakti tertinggi kepada Śiva—bersama Ambā (Umā)—kepada Tuhan yang diiringi para pengiring-Nya serta dikurniai sifat-sifat ilahi, pasti menganugerahkan kepada penyembah apa jua yang paling diidamkan; tiada keraguan.

It teaches that parā-bhakti (supreme devotion) to Pati—Śiva, inseparable from Umā—becomes a direct means to grace, by which both worldly aims and higher spiritual attainments are fulfilled through the Lord’s compassionate bestowal.
By describing Śiva as “with attributes” and “with attendants,” the verse supports saguṇa-upāsanā—worship of the manifest Lord (including Śiva-liṅga worship) where the devotee approaches Śiva with form and qualities, receiving tangible fruits and, ultimately, upliftment toward liberation.
The takeaway is steady bhakti expressed through daily Śiva-pūjā—especially liṅga-archanā with mantra-japa (such as the Pañcākṣarī, Om Namaḥ Śivāya)—offered with devotion to Śiva together with Umā, seeking grace rather than mere transaction.
