Jika pemujaan terhenti selama dua malam, hendaklah dilakukan Mahā-Pūjā, kemudian diikuti dengan upacara saṃprokṣaṇa (percikan air penyucian). Namun jika setelah berlalu sebulan pemujaan terputus selama banyak hari, maka hendaklah diusahakan penegakan semula pemujaan menurut aturan yang ditetapkan.

Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Sthala Purana: General liturgical rule: a two-night interruption requires mahāpūjā followed by saṃprokṣaṇa; longer breaks (many days after a month) require a more complete re-establishment per rule.
Significance: Highlights the sanctity of continuous worship and the need for re-sanctification after breaks, reinforcing temple purity and communal confidence in the shrine’s efficacy.
Offering: dipa
It teaches that steadiness (niyama) in Shiva-worship purifies the pashu (bound soul), and when discipline is broken, purification and renewed devotion restore the sanctity of the practice.
It directly concerns continuity in Linga-puja: when regular offerings to Saguna Shiva are interrupted, specific corrective rites (mahāpūjā and saṃprokṣaṇa) reinstate the sacred order of worship.
Perform mahāpūjā followed by saṃprokṣaṇa (purificatory sprinkling) after a short break; after a long lapse, resume with a more complete re-establishment—along with mantra-japa (e.g., Om Namaḥ Śivāya) to steady the vow.
