FAQs

It emphasizes orderly Shaiva ritual discipline: the rite is completed with pūrṇāhuti and then sanctified through 108 ghee oblations, symbolizing completeness and steady devotion under right guidance.

Fire-offerings (homa) are an external support for Saguna worship, where offerings and mantra are directed to Lord Shiva’s manifest grace; the Guru’s role ensures the rite aligns with Shaiva injunctions and leads the devotee toward inner realization.

Perform pūrṇāhuti, then offer 108 ghee oblations—ideally with Shiva-mantra (commonly the Panchakshara, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”)—either by the practitioner or under the Guru’s direction.
