Pañcāvaraṇa-mārga Stotra to Yogeśvara Śiva

Suta Goswami (narrating the Vāyavīya discourse to the sages of Naimisharanya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
It highlights the Shaiva principle that divine grace (anugraha) follows humility and right conduct—honouring a righteous command becomes the cause for receiving the sought fruit, while the Rudras signify the overwhelming, many-formed power of Pati (Shiva).
By describing Rudras as ‘equal to Rudra in splendour,’ the verse points to Saguna Shiva’s manifold manifestations—devotees may worship the one Shiva through His many forms, with the Linga serving as the central, unifying emblem of that same Rudra-tattva.
A practical takeaway is disciplined obedience to dharma coupled with Rudra-smaraṇa: daily japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and contemplative remembrance of Shiva’s many Rudra-forms while seeking a boon through devotion rather than ego.
