(Pūjāvidhāna-vyākhyā) — Exposition of the Procedure of Worship

Type: stotra
Offering: pushpa
The verse presents a dhyāna (contemplative) portrait of the Lord’s auspicious, beautiful, and grace-filled form, guiding the devotee from sensory reverence to inner absorption in Pati (Shiva), which supports liberation by His anugraha (grace).
While the Liṅga points to the Lord beyond form (nirguṇa), this description supports saguna-upāsanā—meditating on Shiva’s gracious attributes—so the mind becomes steady and fit to realize the Liṅga’s transcendent meaning.
Practice Shiva-dhyāna: visualize the Lord’s serene, smiling face and auspicious marks while repeating the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” ideally with bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa as aids to steadiness and devotion.
