Paśu–Pāśa–Paśupati
Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages at Naimisharanya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
Offering: pushpa
It highlights the doctrine of divine freedom: Mahādevī reveals herself by grace and withdraws by her own will, teaching that true spiritual progress is sustained by humility and reverent surrender rather than mere sight of the Divine.
The devas respond with praṇāma (devotional submission), showing the proper attitude in Saguna worship—after receiving darśana, one seals the experience through devotion and obedience to dharma, which in Shaiva tradition supports steady Linga-upāsanā and inner recollection.
Practice praṇāma and inward remembrance after worship—complete pūjā with namaskāra, then do a short japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” to internalize the grace (anugraha) that may not always remain outwardly visible.
