Determination of the Measures of Time
मासस्त्रिंशदहोरात्रैर्दिव्यो मानुषवत्स्मृतः । संवत्सरो ऽपि देवानां मासैर्द्वादशभिस्तथा
māsastriṃśadahorātrairdivyo mānuṣavatsmṛtaḥ | saṃvatsaro 'pi devānāṃ māsairdvādaśabhistathā
Sebulan (ilahi) difahami terdiri daripada tiga puluh siang dan malam, menurut ukuran yang sama seperti manusia. Demikian juga, setahun bagi para dewa dikatakan terbina daripada dua belas bulan yang sedemikian.

It frames time (kāla) as an ordered principle within Shiva’s cosmic governance—reminding the seeker that worldly time and divine time are measured within a greater sacred order, supporting disciplined practice toward liberation.
By clarifying sacred measures of time, it supports worship performed with right observance (niyama)—festivals, vows, and pūjā timings offered to Saguna Shiva in the Linga are aligned with scriptural understanding of kāla.
Maintain regularity of japa (especially the Panchakshara) and vrata by honoring sacred time—daily worship at fixed hours and observance of monthly/annual Śaiva vows with steadiness.
