सत्रप्रवृत्तिः — वायोः आगमनं च

Commencement of the Satra and the Arrival of Vāyu

मुनय ऊचुः । अद्य नः कुशलं सर्वमद्य साधु भवेत्तपः । अस्मच्छ्रेयोभिवृद्ध्यर्थं भवानत्रागतो यतः

munaya ūcuḥ | adya naḥ kuśalaṃ sarvamadya sādhu bhavettapaḥ | asmacchreyobhivṛddhyarthaṃ bhavānatrāgato yataḥ

Para resi berkata: “Hari ini segala-galanya sejahtera bagi kami; hari ini tapa (tapas) kami benar-benar berbuah baik, kerana tuan datang ke sini demi menambah pertumbuhan kesejahteraan tertinggi kami.”

Though the verse is a greeting, it establishes the Shaiva puranic method: hearing sacred narration from an authentic source strengthens devotion and right understanding, which then matures into proper Saguna Shiva worship (including Linga-upasana) and ultimately points toward the supreme Pati (Shiva).

The implied practice is śravaṇa (devotional listening) in holy company; as a Shaiva takeaway, one may pair such listening with daily japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and disciplined tapas to “increase śreyas.”
