उपमन्युतपः-निवारणप्रसङ्गः / Śiva restrains Upamanyu’s tapas (Śiva disguised as Indra)
हेतुवादविनिर्मुक्तं सांख्ययोगार्थदम्परम् । उपासते यं तत्त्वज्ञा वरं तस्माद्वृणोम्यहम्
hetuvādavinirmuktaṃ sāṃkhyayogārthadamparam | upāsate yaṃ tattvajñā varaṃ tasmādvṛṇomyaham
Aku memilih Dia sebagai kurnia—Tuhan Tertinggi yang disembah para pengenal Tattva; yang bebas daripada perdebatan rasional yang memecah-belah, dan yang benar-benar menganugerahkan buah yang dimaksudkan oleh Sāṅkhya dan Yoga.

It teaches that liberation is not attained by argumentative reasoning alone; the highest boon is devotion to Pati (Shiva), who grants the real inner realization promised by Sāṅkhya (discrimination) and Yoga (union).
The verse points to upāsanā (reverent worship/meditation) as the means to the Supreme; in Shaiva practice this is commonly fulfilled through Saguna worship such as the Śiva-liṅga, which steadies the mind and leads toward realization of Shiva’s transcendent nature.
