सर्‍वेश्वर-परमकारण-निरूपणम् / The Supreme Lord as the Uncaused Cause

एतन्मनोमयं चक्रं मया सृष्टं विसृज्यते । यत्रास्य शीर्यते नेमिः स देशस्तपसश्शुभः

etanmanomayaṃ cakraṃ mayā sṛṣṭaṃ visṛjyate | yatrāsya śīryate nemiḥ sa deśastapasaśśubhaḥ

“Roda yang terbentuk daripada minda ini, yang Aku ciptakan, kini Aku lepaskan dan Aku gerakkan. Di mana bibir rodanya haus lalu pecah, tempat itu suci dan bertuah untuk tapa (tapas).”

Sthala Purana: A cosmo-ritual etiology: a ‘mind-made wheel’ is created and released; where its rim breaks becomes a tapas-kṣetra. This resembles a mythic charter for sacred geography rather than a single Jyotirliṅga origin.

Significance: Sanctifies landscape through divine intentionality: places are holy because they are ‘touched’ by Śiva’s will and become fit for tapas, i.e., for pāśa-kṣaya and anugraha.
