Pūjā-vidhiḥ) — The Supreme Procedure of Worship (Morning Observances
पुष्पांजलिं समर्प्यैव पुनः कुर्यान्नतिं मुहुः । स्वस्थानं गच्छ देवेश परिवारयुतः प्रभो । पूजाकाले पुनर्नाथ त्वया गंतव्यमादरात् । इति संप्रार्थ्य वहुशश्शंकरं भक्तवत्सलम्
puṣpāṃjaliṃ samarpyaiva punaḥ kuryānnatiṃ muhuḥ | svasthānaṃ gaccha deveśa parivārayutaḥ prabho | pūjākāle punarnātha tvayā gaṃtavyamādarāt | iti saṃprārthya vahuśaśśaṃkaraṃ bhaktavatsalam
Setelah mempersembahkan segenggam bunga, hendaklah ia sujud berulang kali dan berdoa: “Wahai Tuhan para dewa, wahai Penguasa—kembalilah ke kediaman-Mu bersama para pengiring-Mu. Namun, wahai Nātha, pada waktu pemujaan, berkenanlah datang lagi dengan belas kasih.” Demikianlah, berkali-kali ia memohon kepada Śaṅkara, yang sentiasa mengasihi para bhakta.

It teaches that worship is completed with humility and loving reverence—offering flowers, repeated prostrations, and heartfelt prayer—affirming Śiva as the gracious Pati who responds to sincere bhakti.
In saguna/linga worship, the devotee ritually invites Śiva’s presence for pūjā and then respectfully requests Him to return to His abode—this “visarjana” preserves sanctity while affirming that Śiva remains ever-accessible to devotion.
Offer puṣpāñjali, perform repeated namaskāra, and conclude with a respectful request for Śiva’s departure and return at the next pūjā—ideally accompanied by remembrance of the Pañcākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya).
