Satī’s Yogic Abandonment of the Body

It highlights that even extraordinary victories or reversals occur under Śiva’s icchā (divine will) working through Mahāśakti, reminding the devotee that ultimate agency belongs to Pati (Śiva), not to limited beings.
Worship of the Liṅga and Saguna Śiva trains the mind to see events as governed by Śiva’s will and grace; this verse reinforces devotion and surrender to the Lord who manifests power through Śakti while remaining the supreme controller.
A practical takeaway is japa of the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—with bhāvanā of surrender to Śiva’s will, optionally accompanied by Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as reminders of Śiva-tattva and inner detachment.
