Description of Pārvatī’s Childhood/Birth Festivities

The verse highlights that devotional celebration (utsava) culminates in repeated darśana of the Divine (Kālī), and that such sustained contemplation naturally produces inner joy—an indicator of grace in saguna devotion within the Shaiva framework.
While the verse centers on Kālī (Shakti), it reflects a key Shiva Purana theme: the Supreme is approached through saguna forms and sacred observances. In Shaiva practice, Linga-worship and Devi-darśana both function as concrete supports for devotion that leads the mind toward the Lord’s highest reality.
It suggests bhakti through utsava (festival worship) and repeated darśana—returning the mind again and again to the deity’s form. Practically, this can be paired with mantra-japa (such as the Panchakshara, Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and focused visual contemplation during pūjā.
