The verse highlights dhārmic dāna—offering auspicious gifts with devotion—showing that outer generosity, when aligned with reverence for Shiva’s sacred narrative, supports inner purification and strengthens bhakti.
Though it describes worldly offerings, the Purana uses such scenes to model Saguna devotion: honoring Shiva’s manifest play (līlā) through respectful offerings, which can be mirrored in Linga-pūjā by presenting clean, sattvic upacāras with humility.
A practical takeaway is to practice sattvic dāna and simple offerings during Shiva worship—such as presenting a clean vessel, water, flowers, or naivedya—while mentally repeating the Panchākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with devotion.
