Inquiry into Prakṛti (Nature/Śakti) and Śiva’s Transcendence
Suta Goswami (narrative colophon marker to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
This is a colophon that seals the chapter and highlights the authority of the Pārvatī–Parameśvara dialogue as a direct vehicle for Śaiva teaching—devotion, right understanding, and the grace of Pati (Śiva) guiding the soul toward liberation.
By naming Parameśvara (Śiva) in dialogue with Pārvatī, it frames the teaching within Saguna Śiva’s compassionate, personal instruction—often the narrative setting in which Linga-worship, mantra, and disciplined devotion are explained in the Purāṇa.
No specific rite is prescribed in this colophon verse; the practical takeaway is to study (śravaṇa) and contemplate (manana) the Śiva–Pārvatī teachings of this chapter as a devotional discipline supporting japa and worship.
