Deliberation on the Marriages of Gaṇeśa and Ṣaṇmukha

The verse highlights bhakti expressed as repeated worship and prostration—an outer act that trains inner humility (vinaya) and surrender, aligning the devotee with Shiva’s grace (anugraha) in the Shaiva Siddhanta spirit.
Though the verse does not name the Liṅga directly, it reflects the Saguna mode of devotion emphasized in Purāṇic Shaivism: honoring the divine and its representatives through pūjā and praṇāma, which supports steady remembrance and reverence.
A practical takeaway is to incorporate deliberate praṇāma (full prostrations) in daily Shiva-pūjā—traditionally done in counted sets (such as 7), accompanied by mental surrender and simple mantra-japa like “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” when appropriate.
