FAQs

It highlights the dhārmic flow of sacred knowledge: enlightened sages act as responsible transmitters of truth, ensuring that divine governance aligns with what has truly occurred—supporting cosmic order (ṛta) under Śiva’s supreme sovereignty.

Though the Liṅga is not named here, the verse reflects a key Shaiva narrative pattern: events connected to Śiva’s līlā and cosmic purpose are preserved and communicated through rishis and devas, sustaining Saguna devotion and correct ritual understanding in the tradition.

The implied practice is satya-vāk (truthful speech) and śāstra-smarana—recalling and accurately recounting sacred events; devotees can pair this with japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) to steady the mind in truthful awareness.
