Sambil berkata sesama mereka, “Mari kita berbicara,” semua para pengiring Śiva itu, dengan hati menyala oleh amarah, membalas kata-kata kepada Gaṇeśa, sang penjaga pintu.

It highlights how ego and anger can arise even among divine attendants, and how dharma is tested at the threshold of sacred space—where discipline and obedience to Śiva’s order should prevail over impulsive reaction.
Gaṇeśa as gatekeeper represents the protective boundary around Saguna Śiva’s sacred presence; approaching Śiva (often through Liṅga-worship) requires inner purity and restraint, not agitation or entitlement.
A practical takeaway is to begin Śiva-pūjā with Gaṇeśa-vandana and calm the mind through japa (e.g., “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) so anger and restlessness do not obstruct devotion.
