Śiva-jñāna and the Non-dual Vision of a Śiva-maya Universe

Role: teaching
It teaches Shiva-darśana: when the mind becomes clear and steady, Śiva is recognized as the all-pervading Reality—seen everywhere, as effortlessly as one sees oneself in a clean mirror.
The Liṅga offers a focused, saguna support for devotion; through such worship the devotee’s awareness is refined until the same Śiva is apprehended as sarvatraga (omnipresent), not limited to a single shrine.
Purifying practices that ‘polish the mirror’ of awareness are implied—steady japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), dhyāna on Śiva/Śiva-liṅga, and living with devotion and restraint so the omnipresent Śambhu is perceived in all.
